Jiu Jitsu (2020) is a science fiction action movie directed by Dimitri Logothetis and stars a mix of action movie veterans and martial arts talent, including Nicholas Cage, Tony Jaa, Frank Grillo, and Alain Moussi. The film is loosely based on a graphic novel of the same name and centers around a group of elite martial artists who must face off against an alien invader.
The story of Jiu Jitsu revolves around a warrior named Jake (played by Alain Moussi), who suffers from amnesia after a violent encounter with a mysterious and powerful alien fighter. Jake is found by a group of highly trained individuals led by the experienced fighter Wiley (played by Nicholas Cage), who is part of a secretive group of martial artists dedicated to protecting Earth from a dangerous alien species.
This alien invader, known as Braxx, is an interdimensional being who arrives every six years to challenge Earth’s greatest fighters in a deadly martial arts tournament. If he wins, the alien will conquer Earth. However, every time he loses, the warriors of Earth are left to recover and prepare for the next round, keeping the alien invader at bay temporarily.
Jake is reluctant at first, as he can’t remember his past or his skills, but over the course of the film, he learns from the martial arts group and recalls the knowledge he needs to fight back against Braxx. With the help of Wiley and the other fighters, Jake must master his martial arts abilities and confront Braxx in a final showdown that will determine the fate of the planet.
