Night at the Museum 4 is officially in development, with the title Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again expected to be released in 2025. The movie will be a new chapter in the Night at the Museum series, though it is expected to differ somewhat from previous films in the franchise.
The fourth installment is set to be an animated film, unlike the live-action films that came before it. The story is centered around the character of Nick Daley, the son of Larry Daley (played by Ben Stiller in the earlier films). Nick is now working as a night guard at the Museum of Natural History, following in his father’s footsteps.
The main plot involves Kahmunrah, the ancient Egyptian villain, being resurrected, and it is up to Nick and the museum exhibits to stop him. As in the previous films, the exhibits come to life after dark, with various historical figures and creatures becoming part of the adventure.
Although many of the familiar characters, including Teddy Roosevelt, Sacagawea, and others, will appear, the film will feature a new voice cast and more action-packed sequences designed for a younger audience, given its animation style.
The movie is being produced by Disney and 20th Century Studios, aiming to bring fresh excitement to the beloved Night at the Museum universe.
